Framework Extension with Southern Water

Contract Award – Spider Park River Restoration

eDNA Fish Sampling Survey

FiveRivers have been commissioned by Southern Water to conduct environmental DNA (eDNA) sampling as part of a Stillwater fish survey. All living things leave DNA in the environment, and eDNA sampling provides a holistic view of the species inhabiting our lakes, ponds and rivers.

Biodiversity Net Gain is now LIVE

On February the 12th 2024 biodiversity net gain came into force as part of the Town and Country Planning Act. Developers must deliver a minimum of 10% biodiversity net gain for any new major development projects within the UK. Minor developments will be included on the 2nd of April. Preventing damage to existing habitats is the priority, with mitigation for unavoidable biodiversity loss being a compensation option, either onsite or offsite.

Kelsey Lakes Fish Survey

FiveRivers have been commissioned by idverde UK to undertake fish surveys on two lakes within Kelsey Park in the London borough of Bromley. The project focussed on identifying fish species and carrying out health checks in advance of a fish rescue due to proposed desilting work on the lakes.

River Lea Restoration Design Project
