Five Rivers Environmental Contracting Ltd was founded in 1994 by company director Jason Lovering. The business was set up as a specialist environmental contractor and Jason has nurtured his keen interest in nature having grown up on the banks of the River Bourne near Salisbury, Wiltshire. The team continues to expand and is able to offer a vast amount of experience in all aspects of environmental consulting and management works. Five Rivers’ main goal remains the greatest return for nature conservation regardless of the endeavour required.

Jason has over twenty years of project management, design work and practical construction experience working on many varied projects and sites. Over the years, Jason has built up an exceptional health and safety record and takes pride in the company’s continuing environmental attainment of ISO 14001.
Since starting Five Rivers, Jason has consistently worked on sensitive sites using specialist machinery with adaptable and innovative methodologies. He works tirelessly to achieve the project goals whilst optimising a bio-diverse outcome for the site.
Ali is Business Manager at Five Rivers ensuring smooth running of the company. Having grown up in the Highlands of Scotland, Ali initially trained as a classical pianist in London at Trinity College of Music.
She commissioned into the Royal Navy in 2004 where she joined the management team of HMNB Devonport, the largest Naval Base in Western Europe. She joined the Fleet Amphibious Flagship, HMS ALBION, as Assistant Logistics Officer and conducted deployments to the Baltic States and West Africa undertaking Defence Diplomacy and outreach works. During her sabbatical to start a family, Ali completed an LLB (Hons) with the Open University.
Adam is an ecologist and project manager with ten years’ experience gained in ecological consultancy and Environment Agency roles. Adam manages a wide range of projects carried out by Five Rivers, ensuring projects are delivered on budget, on time with complete client satisfaction.
With a general background working in rivers and wetlands, and a specialism in fisheries Adam provides technical input into all river and wetland schemes. As a professional member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and the Institute of Fisheries Management (IFM) Adam works to a high standard of professional conduct. Adam also holds a Natural England White-clawed crayfish survey licence, and is involved in numerous non-native crayfish research projects.
