Revetment Repairs & River Restoration at Bushy Park
As part of our award with The Royal Parks on the Longford River Revetment Framework, our construction team have been on site recently at Bushy Park working on two sections of the Queens River reach of the Longford River and at Brick Bridge carrying out revetment repairs and river restoration enhancements.
On the Queens River our FiveRivers team carried out revetment repairs through the installation of hazel fascine berms and further repairs to the sleeper steps on both sides of the bank, backfilled with gravel.
At Brick Bridge, we delivered priority works on a 135m stretch of the riverbank to prevent water ingress to the gardens through the installation of rock rolls and pre-planted coir rolls.
Our relationship with The Royal Parks and Bushy Park dates back some five years ago where we delivered a design and build contract to improve biodiversity and habitat restoration on Triss’s and Fishers Pond – you can read the case study here – https://five-rivers.com/case-study/habitat-restoration-bushy-park/
Stay tuned as we keep you updated on our works for The Royal Parks.
