River Restoration on The River Waring

FiveRivers are currently working with Lincolnshire County Council delivering a scheme on the River Waring as part of the Lincolnshire Chalk Streams Project, a partnership of twelve organisations who have actively been delivering river restoration since 2006.

We recently went to site to conduct our initial site visit, as part of our design phase where we’ll be completing 2D hydraulic flood modelling and desktop searches to inform our outline and detailed designs of river restoration of this unique chalk stream to support the Waithe Beck area.

With the support from the landowner, we’ve been given a fantastic opportunity to propose several possible options before progressing to detailed designs, taking into consideration the buildability.

We’ll continue to share updates as this project develops.
