FiveRivers & Thames Water BNG Partnership Announcement

We are pleased to announce we are extending our relationship with Thames Water by supporting their Biodiversity Performance Commitment by successfully delivering 11 biodiversity units by 2029, across 9 Thames Water owned sites.

Delivery will be achieved through a combination of grounds maintenance (including grassland, scrub, woodland and hedgerow management), wetland/pond creation, and tree/hedgerow planting. The FiveRivers team are working closely with Thames Water to meet strict programme constraints, taking already produced management plans to reality with design finalisation and on the ground delivery.

We’ve been busy conducting site visits over the last couple of weeks before works are set to begin.

We’re experts in:

– 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲: Early screening to confirm if BNG applies and what may be feasible.

– 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐬: Robust baseline surveys and statutory metric calculations.

– 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧: Unlocking ecological and BNG value of each site through optimised, evidence led design.

– 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲: Construction, restoration and compliant CEMPs covering everything from grassland, bat boxes, watercourse restoration and habitat creation.

– 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: 30-years monitoring and maintenance to ensure measures met the BNG requirements.

– 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐬: Advice and sourcing of statutory biodiversity units where needed.
