FiveRivers is pleased to announce our contract award with Hillingdon Council to deliver river restoration design at Spider Park, creating a renaturalised channel on the Yeading Brook.

The project is a partnership between Hillingdon Council and Zoological Society of London, funded by the Crane Valley Partnership Smarter Water Catchments initiative by Thames Water to build better functioning river catchments, and HS2.

Acting as Principal Designer our works will include, desk-based assessments, topographic surveys, flood risk assessments, ground investigations, a Preliminary Ecological Assessment (PEA survey), detailed designs and FRAP application, ready for construction.

Our in-house team hope to undertake the construction later this year.

Speaking to our FiveRivers Design and Build Project Manager, Sam Whittall, he said ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for FiveRivers to contribute to a scheme with the aim of re-meandering and enhancing the Yeading Brook within Bridgewater Road Fields. The project will increase the natural capital to the benefit of all in the area. As a specialist provider of nature-based design and build solutions, our dedicated team will create a detailed design for our client which can hopefully seamlessly transition to construction’
